Analyst Tech Ops Safety Programs and SMS

Position Summary

The Analyst, Tech Ops Safety supports Tech Ops compliance with JetBlue Safety Management System (SMS) policies, procedures and risk controls. The Analyst, Tech Ops Safety will be responsible for the administration of Tech Ops safety data and reports. The Analyst, Tech Ops Safety monitors and reports on the implementation of  strategies, initiatives and best practices, as directed by the Manager, Tech Ops Safety Programs & SMS, and will play a role in incident investigations and subsequent mitigation strategies.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manages Tech Ops Safety related AQD data and internal databases
  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports as necessary and directed by the Manager of Tech Ops Safety Programs and SMS
  • Monitors and reports on implementation of programs and procedures to mitigate Crewmember and aircraft incidents, as well as regulatory violations
  • Conducts risk assessment of potential operational hazards
  • Supports the change management process for changes occurring within Tech Ops and external teams
  • Serves as a liaison between Tech Ops and other JetBlue Safety departments
  • Ensures communication flow of information from Tech Ops Safety
  • Supports Tech Ops injury and ground damage investigations
  • Analyzes data from events, self-assessments, inspections and audits to identify trends  
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health & safety or aviation related discipline
  • One (1) year of analytical experience
  • Safety Management System experience
  • Aviation Safety Action Program experience
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
