Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION:

The Flight Operations Department supports our daily operations through the management and development of our Safety and Flight Procedural processes. The Department also manages Pilot Hiring process for Southwest Airlines. This starts from the initial expression of interest to the new hire’s first day of training. If selected, you will work full-time as a Team Member within one of the following Teams:

 

Procedures

Procedures Team is responsible for managing all content and communication housed in the Electronic Flight Bags (EFB) for all Southwest Airlines pilots. Management of this information includes FAA updates, bulletins, airport procedures, and safety updates. During this internship, you may assist with researching industry standards, make recommendations to subject matter experts, development policy and procedures, presentations, modifications to existing Flight Ops. manuals, and act as liaison for the Department and other company
