Global Quality Assurance Manager Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the Global Quality Management strategy and architecture for use across the clients Business Aviation and Helicopter Training network, driving a high level of regulatory compliance, contractual compliance and quality assurance globally, leveraging resources and best QA practices around the business across all regulatory bodies.

In addition you will be the designated Nominated Postholder for both FAA and EASA.


• Develop and implement a cohesive Quality Management strategy and architecture for the training network to ensure harmonisation, standardisation and alignment of approach in all business segments. This architecture should leverage existing resources and best practices around the business.
• Act as the official post holder for EASA and FAA training and as part of that position ensure that the activities of the approved training organization are monitored for compliance with the applicable regulatory requirements, and any additional requirements and standards established by the company, customer or aircraft OEMs, and that these activities are being carried out properly under the supervision of the relevant manager(s) of the functional area(s).
• Define, develop, implement and maintain the global Quality Management Policy and System for all training activities covering, QA Processes, Tools, Working Environment, Job Descriptions, strategic and SMART QA objectives, associated KPIs / dashboard for the various segments / units / regions; QA reporting and governance practices and systems; Internal / External Audit management and non-conformance practices and systems.
• Ensure appropriate oversight of all QA training provided in the businesses, and ensure a standardization of approach.
• Ensure all the QA staff are appropriately trained and proficient to carry out their roles, and that they acquire specific regulatory and technical knowledge in relation to the relevant aviation domains.
• Maximize synergies between QA staff and the Regulatory and Aviation Safety staff across the company’s civil division.
• Act as the designated QA / Compliance Monitoring Manager post holder for both EASA and FAA per the responsibilities defined in approved regulatory documents.
• Across Training units, promote a culture and a system to leverage synergies, such as maximizing the cross-learning from others’ mistakes and lessons learned. Report when relevant to CAE management potential synergies on policies, tools, processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain a high-level reporting scheme at the business segment level for Operational Leaders.

Skills Required

• Demonstrated ability to interact and co-operate with multiple aviation authorities of various countries, levels of aviation maturity, and cultures.
• From a QA and regulatory compliance point of view, have a functional working knowledge of different regulatory environments (at least EASA in Europe, and FAA in the USA), and also be familiar with applicable ICAO documents, as well as various other regulatory documents.
• Have the leadership and the overall ability to drive QA change and establish a new global QA system in the training business units.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to manage and lead people.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to work in a global, matrix Company, with people of different cultures and located around the world.
• Experience and demonstrated ability to interact with senior management.
• Be able to develop effective working relationships, based on trust and credibility, with a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external).
• Have a business sense, a company mind set, a boundary-less behaviour, and work with a result-oriented style
• Have a solid judgment and be able to make balanced decision in consideration of quality, cost, and schedule.
• Have strong interpersonal skills, be known as team player, and be naturally guided by what is right for the business.
• Excellent skills in terms of being organized, managing large-scale projects.
• Have a strong level of English language, both verbal and written.
• Good ability to work with IT tools in general, best-in class QA tools, interact with global IT for support at the global QA level.
• Working knowledge of budget management


• University degree or equivalent qualifications and experience relevant for the position.
• Substantial experience in the international aviation training industry.
• Proven experience of working with Aviation Regulators and Airline customers will be of benefit
