The newly created National Sales team for Air Transat is seeking a sales professional to develop new partnerships and opportunities on behalf of the airline with travel trade and corporate clients. The position is based in Ontario with responsibilities for Western Canada.

  • Implement a sales action plan in order to increase sales and market share within tourism distribution channels;
  • Prospect for new clients;
  • Visit the assigned territory regularly, manage sales reports, and present them to clients;
  • Participate in launches and other sales events;
  • Stimulate business development with partners from all distribution channels (travel agencies, corporate accounts, consolidators, OTAs, etc.);
  • Gather and analyze data on market conditions and present them clearly and concisely to the sales team;
  • Uphold corporate decisions and communicate them to distribution partners in a professional manner;
  • Represent Air Transat at various industry functions, including those occurring outside of regular business hours.
Requirements
  • College diploma in marketing or sales;
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the airline industry;
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • French is an asset;
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills;
  • Strong sense of initiative and attention to detail;
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
